From fresh produce and pantry staples rescued by SecondBite to ready-to-eat meals made in our FareShare kitchens, the food we provide is shared through trusted local partners and shaped around the needs and preferences of each community.

For many First Nations communities, particularly in regional and remote Australia, nutritious food can be expensive and difficult to access.
Meals for the Mob helps close that gap by combining SecondBite’s nationwide food rescue and distribution network with the cooking power of our FareShare kitchens.
The result is practical, flexible food relief that can travel a very long way.

Food is shared through First Nations organisations, health services, schools, youth services and other local partners already connected to their communities.

Through the Meals for the Mob Schools Program, SecondBite rescued food and FareShare meals are helping schools provide nutritious hot lunches to students.
At Cabbage Tree Island Public School, students enjoy FareShare hot lunches each week, with staff noticing improved concentration in the classroom.
