You can help people doing it tough over the colder months by supporting the Coles SecondBite Winter Appeal when you do your next grocery shop.

With cost-of-living increases putting even more pressure on those struggling this winter, the need for food relief continues to grow.

Each year, SecondBite rescues and repurposes approximately 25 million kilograms of surplus food and provides it free of charge to more than 1000 charity partners – providing up to 50 million meals for people in need.

How to support the Coles SecondBite Winter Appeal:

Purchase a $2 Donation Card.

Simply add a $2 donation card to your shop or donate at Coles checkouts from 25 June to 8 July.

A $2 donation enables SecondBite to provide up to 10 meals to those in need.

Purchase Participating Products.

Another way to support the Winter Appeal is by choosing participating products at Coles, with SecondBite’s corporate partners generously donating a portion of their sales.

Here’s how each purchase helps:

Chobani and Gippsland Dairy: 20 cents donated for every purchase of a Chobani or Gippsland Dairy yogurt from 25 June to 8 July.

Mount Franklin: 20 cents donated for every purchase of a Mount Franklin Still or Sparkling water sold from 25 June to 22 July, up to a maximum donation of $250,000.

Old El Paso: 20 cents donated for every purchase of Old El Paso tortilla products from 25 June to 8 July, up to a maximum donation of $50,000.

Thins: 20 cents donated for every Thins Potato Chips 150g-175g or Thins Onion Rings 85g sold from 25 June to 8 July, up to a maximum donation of $100,000.

M&M’S and Maltesers: 20 cents from every M&M’S and Maltesers Large Bags 280g-380g sold from 25 June to 22 July, up to a maximum donation of $50,000.

Lilydale Free Range Chicken: 20 cents donated for every purchase of a Lilydale Free Range whole chicken or chicken breast fillet bulk pack between 25 June and 22 July.

Nando’s: 20 cents donated for every Nando’s PERi PERi sauce 250g, Nando’s Perinaise mayonnaise 265g & 465g, Nando’s marinade 262g, Nando’s Sweet Chilli Jam and Nando’s PERI-BBQ Sauce 275g product sold from 25 June to 22 July 2025, up to a maximum donation of $30,000.

Every dollar donated helps in the fight against food insecurity.
