The highlight of the Coles Store Support Centre sustainability week (May 9 – 13) was definitely the mini warehouse set up at their head office, in which staff came to pack much needed hampers of essential pantry items in support of SecondBite.

With much of Victoria’s warehouse staples depleted supporting the flood relief efforts in northern NSW and Queensland over the past couple of months, the bulk donation of rice, pasta, baked beans, breakfast cereal, long life milk and more allowed the Victorian team to restock its stores fully.

Three pallets, or approximately 100 hampers, were packed by Coles team members in a two hour window during the day.
