How can we thank you enough?

Without our food donors, there would be no food to collect, without our food program volunteers, there would be no one to sort the fresh food, without our financial supporters and pro bono service providers, there would be no vans to transport the food, no cool rooms to store the food in, no staff to coordinate the operations and no office to work in, and without our office volunteers, there would be no database or accounts.

In 2009, Social Ventures Australia (SVA) invited SecondBite to join its portfolio of venture partners. The support provided by SVA has assisted our strategic planning, helped build our financial sustainability and developed our governance, performance measurement and evaluation frameworks.

And so it is to you, our invaluable supporters, that we say a huge thank you on behalf of all our recipients for the 7 million nutritious meals we helped provide for men, women and children living in disadvantaged circumstances since our beginning in 2005. Thank you also for helping us to rescue over 1,000 tonnes of fresh food from landfill in 2011, preventing the release of over 900 tonnes of CO2e (greenhouse gas emissions).
