Fundraising
Would you like to get active and raise money for SecondBite?
So far we have had some superstar fundraisers.
A young woman cycled over 3000 kilometres from Perth to Melbourne to help raise our profile.
Another supporter ran the Sydney Marathon to raise funds.
Really, the sky is the limit!
Perhaps you could have a dinner party, where all guests could make a dish from only the food in their fridge to minimise food waste, and donate the funds they would ordinarily have spent on ingredients or eating out?
Or perhaps you could help generate awareness about food poverty and host a ‘SecondBite, making every bite count’ $10 dinner party for four people, and donate what you would have normally have spent on more elaborate ingredients.
Like to do all your fundraising online?
Online fundraising platforms take all the hassle out of organising and collecting for your event.
You simply log on, create a fundraising page and away you go. No money has to change hands, no receipt writing and no chasing people for their promised dollars.

SecondBite has partnered with Onlinegiving.com.au and Sponsorme.com.au so that you can create your own fundraising pages to raise money and make a real difference to people in need.
Raise funds by being sponsored in a fun run, triathlon or any other public event you like. Some people choose to donate in lieu of receiving wedding or birthday gifts.
You could honour a loved one through raising funds in their memory.
You can ask your friends and family to sponsor you to shave your head, climb a mountain, sleep out in the cold... it’s up to you!
You can personalise your page with information about your event, photos and also keep track of funds raised through your page. Your friends and supporters can then donate to SecondBite and also post you messages of support. Simply go to www.onlinegiving.com.au or www.sponsorme.com.au to create your fundraising page.
Good luck! Your support is greatly appreciated by SecondBite and the agencies and people in need that we help.
SecondBite is endorsed by The Australian Taxation Office as an Income Tax Exempt Charity (ITEC) with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
